The unknown is a major concept within both the human psyche, and the artistry of photography. Though both the psyche and photography are different on their own, they can be combined to portray the wider idea of the unknown, and it’s metaphorical implications. In my project, this was the exact idea I had, and I planned to manipulate the pitch black night sky mixed with the street lamps of the main roads to highlight only a certain amount of areas in my photographs. Darkening certain areas was effective in this project, and even served its uses in the ability to change the look of one object into another. Such a conversation from branches to spider webs, all through the use of effective lighting. Overall, this project has been good for me personally to further my skills in the field of photography.
