I recently had the opportunity to bring my son into the studio and interview him before his photoshoot. I took this chance to ask him questions that would help me understand him a bit better. Ryan answered all the questions I asked him, which was surprising as he can go a whole day without saying more than three sentences to me. We both enjoyed this experience and the fun we had with his photoshoot brought us closer together. I took two professional photos and one which I think captures his cheeky personality.

Q1. You are thirteen now, how does it feel to be a teenager?
- It feels kind of weird growing up that fast. I used to be in primary school and now I’m in high school and almost in S2!
Q2. There’s not long to go now until the summer holidays, then you will be heading into your second year in high school. What are some of your favourite memories from your first year?
- When I started to make new friends whom I hadn’t met before. I am still friends with people from primary school too.
Q3. I know you have an Xbox at home, and you can play games online with your friends. Do you prefer to play with them online or to see them in person, and why?
- Both, because real life you have more to chat about but on the Xbox you can focus on the game.
Q4. You have been on a lot of trips this year and done a lot of fun activities. Which one was your favourite and which did you like the least?
- Blackpool was my favourite, especially the water rollercoaster where we all got soaked. My least favourite was going down to Chichester because there wasn’t much to do there that interested me.
Q5. Is there anything that you would like to do this year?
- I would like to do a lot of swimming, both indoor and outdoor.
Q6. How would you describe Oran to someone who has never met him before?
- Annoying! He just lays around all day sleeping. He is affectionate but sometimes when he’s annoyed he fights with me. He’s funny and does funny things, like one time he was running around the house with a carrier bag as a cape because he was nosey and got himself stuck in the bag.
Q7. If you were stuck on a desert island and you could only take three things with you, what would they be?
- A football, Cola and my phone.
Q8. Have you thought about what kind of job or work you would like to do when you are older?
- Either a police officer to stop criminals or a painter/decorator, because I like to design things.
Q9. What is your favourite thing to do right now and why?
- Play Xbox because my friend and I team up to get a high rank in the game that we play, Fortnite.
Q10. Close your eyes and imagine your life ten years from now. What do you see?
- Myself, making Youtube videos of Fortnite.
